As someone looking for a sourcing agent, it’s important for you to determine if the provider is an individual or a company with a team. With Amazon dominating the e-commerce world, there are many individuals who have become sourcing agents. While they work hard to satisfy their clients, the concern is that they can disappear quickly since they are startups. If I choose to work with a single-person sourcing agent, I need to be more cautious about the reliability of their service.

The reason you need to ask about this is that everything, since Amazon take over the e-commerce world, there is a lot of sourcing agents have popped up, and a lot of them are individual sourcing agents. Don’t get me wrong, these individuals work very hard to please the customer because they’re trying to make a living.
The problem is these individuals, startups very quickly, but they can disappear very quickly too. So if you are working with a one single service provider of your sourcing agent is a one-person game, then you need to be a little bit more careful.
